A newsroom is easier to trust when it tells you what it is planning to do, so this is a brief roadmap of where TSCB is heading in the months after launch.

Our first priority is depth on the core beats: Sunshine Coast planning and growth, property, business, environment, and community. Each one will get a steady drumbeat of explainers, profiles and longer pieces, so readers can build a real picture over time rather than catching only the loudest moments.

Our second priority is the practical layer that makes a local site worth visiting often: weekend guides, weather and surf readouts, food recommendations, and a clearer events calendar. These are the pieces that earn the right to also publish the harder reporting.

Our third priority is listening. We will be running open inboxes, occasional reader surveys, and regular check-ins with community groups to make sure our coverage map matches the region as it actually is, not the version of it that lives in our heads.

If there is something you want to see TSCB cover that is not on this list, tell us. The desk reads everything, even when it cannot always reply.
